Oak Island is located between two major Highways; I-65 to the west & U.S. Highway 280
to the east. It is bordered by Lay Lake to the southeast with no means of crossing by automobile.

From I-65 (Take the exit of your choice):
Exit 212: Clanton exit. Take Alabama Highway 145 north and travel 22.6 miles until reaching
Shelby County Road 416, just PAST Beeswax Park and Bridge. Turn right onto Shelby County
Road 416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel 0.8 mile
and arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and gate.
Exit 228: Calera exit. Take Alabama Highway 25 north to Alabama State Highway 70,
approximately 9.5 miles. Turn right onto W. College Street for 0.8 miles. Cross Main Street (N.
Main to the left & S. Main to the right) and continue onto E. College Street for 0.4 miles, bearing
left at the fork in the road at Annie's Place (Restaurant). Travel approximately 0.4 mile and turn
right onto Shelby County Road 30, also called Mardis Ferry Road. Travel 5.1 miles, crossing
Shelby County Road 61 until intersecting Alabama State Highway 145. Turn right onto Alabama
State Highway 145 and travel until reaching Shelby County Road 416, just PAST Shelby County
Road 414. Turn left onto Shelby County Road 416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right
onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel 0.8 mile and arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and
gate.
Exit 231: Calera exit. Take U.S. Highway 31 north to Alabama State Highway 70, approximately
1 mile. Turn right onto Alabama State Highway 70 and travel approximately 8.3 miles until
reaching Alabama State Highway 25 at the traffic signal. Continue straight across Hwy 25 onto
W. College Street for 0.8 miles. Cross Main Street (N. Main to the left & S. Main to the right) and
continue onto E. College Street for 0.4 miles, bearing left at the fork in the road at Annie's Place
(Restaurant). Travel approximately 0.4 mile and turn right onto Shelby County Road 30, or also
called Mardis Ferry Road. Travel 5.1 miles, crossing Shelby County Road 61 until intersecting
Alabama State Highway 145. Turn right onto Alabama State Highway 145 and travel until
reaching Shelby County Road 416, just PAST Shelby County Road 414. Turn left onto Shelby
County Road 416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel
0.8 mile and arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and gate.
Exit 238: Alabaster exit. Take U.S. Highway 31 south 2.0 miles to Shelby County Road 26. Turn
left onto Shelby County Road 26 and travel approximately 9.1 miles until reaching Alabama State
Highway 70. Turn left onto Alabama State Highway 70 and travel 1.7 miles until you reach
Alabama State Highway 25 at the traffic signal. Continue straight across Hwy 25 onto W. College
Street for 0.8 miles. Cross Main Street (N. Main to the left & S. Main to the right) and continue
onto E. College Street for 0.4 miles, bearing left at the fork in the road at Annie's Place
(Restaurant). Travel approximately 0.4 mile and turn right onto Shelby County Road 30, or also
called Mardis Ferry Road. Travel 5.1 miles, crossing Shelby County Road 61 until intersecting
Alabama State Highway 145. Turn right onto Alabama State Highway 145 and travel until
reaching Shelby County Road 416, just PAST Shelby County Road 414. Turn left onto Shelby
County Road 416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel
0.8 mile and arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and gate.
From U.S. Highway 280 (Take one of two ways):
Highway 25: Near Harpersville, take Alabama State Highway 25 South and travel 8.7 miles to
Wilsonville. At the traffic light, turn left onto Shelby County Road 61 and travel for 2.7 miles
where Alabama State Highway 145 begins. Bear left onto Alabama State highway 145 and travel
for 0.8 miles to Shelby County Road 416 (you will pass Shelby County 414). Turn left onto Shelby
County Road 416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel
0.8 mile and arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and gate.
Highway 76: Near Childersburg, take Alabama State Highway 76 and travel 4.9 miles to Alabama
State Highway 25 . Turn left onto Alabama State Highway 25 and travel 4.4 miles into Wilsonville.
At the traffic light, turn left onto Shelby County Road 61 and travel for 2.7 miles where Alabama
State Highway 145 begins. Bear left onto Alabama State highway 145 and travel for 0.8 miles to
Shelby County Road 416 (you will pass Shelby County 414). Turn left onto Shelby County Road
416, travel approximately 300 feet and turn right onto Paradise Cove Lane. Travel 0.8 mile and
arrive at Oak Island, on right. White fences and gate.
